The daily schedule contains four or five general conferences, each
approximately a half hour in length. These conferences are based on the
Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius. Each conference is followed by a free
period in which to reflect and pray on the given scripture presented and to
apply them to one’s own life.

Each day the retreatant has the opportunity to participate in the Eucharist,
the rosary, Sacrament of Reconciliation and Benediction. Being silent,
waiting, and listening for God to speak - with nowhere to go, no agenda to
keep and no superficial social contact is the key ingredient for
communicating with God. The beauty of the grounds also helps dispose
oneself to hear the Lord speak to us. Remember, Elijah did not find God in
the earthquake, hurricane, or fire, but in the quiet breeze.

How much does a Silent Retreat cost?
Broom Tree Retreat and Conference Center is sustained by the donations of
the retreatants. All are welcome at Broom Tree. No one is excluded because
of inability to make a retreat donation.
Broom Tree's cost to provide meals and lodging for a Silent Retreat is
$225/person ($75/day). We ask that you prayerfully consider this when
making your donation.

Jun 1 GROWTH IN GRACE THROUGH SPOUSAL LOVE: Using the spiritual
classic, "The Three Ages of the Spiritual Live" and JPII's "Theology of
the Body, Fr. Mullady will discuss how couples can grow in
marriage. Register Early
Jul 22-28 Icon Writing Retreat
Each participant will spend the week prayerfully hand crafting an
authentic Icon using a combination of Greek and Russian methods
with the direction of master iconographers from the
Monastic Fraternity of Nazareth , Chippewa Falls, WI.
Registration Deadline: JULY 6th
Oct 3- 5 Couple's Retreat with EWTN's Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers
MADE IN HIS IMAGE: Deacon Sivers will examine the sacramental
dimensions of family life and explore the meaning and role of
motherhood and fatherhood in family and culture.
